In 1897, Harry "Dock" Dougherty opened Dock's with 60 seats, no liquor license and very high standards. Harry's vision has been carried on by four generations of Dougherty's who share his commitment to quality service. That commitment sustained Dock's through two World Wars, the Great Depression, and the decline and rebirth of Atlantic City. In 1945, the second generation of Dougherty's enlarged the restaurant to 80 seats. 15 years later, the third generation purchased a liquor license, expanded the dining room again, and installed a modern kitchen. After another decade, a small cocktail lounge was added, and in 2001 a team of third and fourth generation Dougherty's revamped the dining room and bar, adding a raw bar. In 2015, the fourth generation decided it was time to give our loyal customers more space by taking over a portion of the parking lot for a 3-story addition.

Family owned and operated, Setaara Afghan French Cuisine opened its doors in summer 2019, offering a brand new dining experience. It is located in the heart of Ducktown Atlantic City, steps away from the Tanger Outlets. Open Monday-Saturday for dinner and a free lot is available for customers across the street.
